Collection consists of 125 file cards, many with accompanying color photographs of hats made to accessorize Norell's Spring 1965 collection. Information on the cards includes a description of the hat, hours required to make it, materials used, manufacturer's price and wholesale price. Occasionally there are notes about sales of the various hats to such department stores as Neiman Marcus or I. Magnin. Of the 125 hats described, 77 were designed by Halston, then at the height of his fame as a millinery designer. Of these 77, 46 are described and 31 have an accompanying photograph.
